TSG Industry Service involves Level III specialists consulting in following areas:

  • Non-destructive Testing policy and activities
  • Ensuring that the processes and application of the various techniques are in accordance with the various controlling specifications and evaluation of NDT procedures and inspection
  • Compiling standard NDT practices and Procedures and vetting
  • Provide written practice for training and certification of NDT Personnel in Accordance with the EU standards.

Diagnostic NDT

Techniques development for specific problems which could arise when new materials are introduced, or when a greater level of inspection becomes necessary on established materials and work pieces.

Technology Development

Development and research into new NDT technology is the main aim of development. Introduction of the Acoustic Camera, Digital Radiography, Advanced Electromagnetic, IRIS and MLR in the field of NDT are just few of the new technologies projects.

PRODUCTION AND OPERATION OF PRESSURE EQUIPMENT

Pressure Equipment should comply with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EC) and in the USA with the ASME Section VIII Code.

TSG consulting services includes all phase support of the manufacturers as design and type approval, construction and putting the product in to service. During the production process we TSG assists in:

  • Design examination & Verification of calculation
  • Verification of welding files and welding procedures
  • Material approval
  • Type examination (CE certification, assisting TUV Rheinland)
  • Quality system approval (CE certification, assisting TUV Rheinland)
  • Product inspection, test and certification (CE certification, assisting TUV Rheinland)
  • Third party inspections

TSG consulting services related to pressure equipment results with reducing costs, increasing reliability and minimizing time of production.

RISK ASSESSMENT

Micro-structural changes and structural changes of the materials are result of various operating conditions, high stress-strain and temperatures. This is specific for the pressure equipment installed in petrochemical plants and power generation plants.

Manufacturers of the pressure equipment are obliged to verify and approve risk assessments as part of a Conformity Assessment process according the PED Directive 97/23/EC.

During service, risk assessments are necessary when changes are being made to the installation.

The benefits of a risk-based approach to inspection include increase in availability and cost saving, minimum duration of shutdowns, decreasing of the inspection intervals and safety compliance issues.

The type of pressure equipment is relevant for the applied risk assessment method, such as Hazop/Hazan, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), FMEA, and others.

TSG has great experience in risk assessment consulting and services with key benefits of:

  • Identification of key process parameters affecting degradation rates
  • Identification of potential damage mechanisms
  • Estimating the likelihood of occurrence of the hazard
  • Assessment of proposed process changes that could impact degradation rates
  • Identifying measures and evaluation of effectiveness of inspection activities
